SVB will turn 20 days tomorrow and in marking 20-days the ThinkTank has designed appreciation cards to thank and acknowledge the contribution of businesses that have donated towards the hosting of the fundraising event.
Funds and services provided to host the event is valued at $10,000.00+ FJD.
SVB Chairman said that the Vanua o Betoraurau is immensely proud of these businesses, individuals and government organisations for their timely assistance.
“We are thankful for the kindness of business leaders and our government in helping us put together a very meaningful event for our people. An event that magnitude could not have been possible without the generousity of these organisations. The cards are but a small token of the vanua’s appreciation and really does not measure to their kindness.”
“We thank Kim Beddoes and the Beddoes family; they have always assisted the Vanua in many ways till today. We also thank Tai Mohd Sadiq’s family and Babu in particular for his unwavering support.”
Mr Naika also acknowledged Fiji Television and the crew of “Na i Katalau” who played a pivotal role in promoting the event to global viewers.
“I’m also thankful to the media organisations Fiji TV, CFL an FBC for covering and promoting the event. Malakai and Rupeni have been really great TV hosts they have worked alongside other radio hosts to promote the event like we never could and for that we remain thankful to every person involved.”
Fiji Police Force Jazz Band provided live music entertainment while other government departments through the Commissioner Western’s Office delivered programs throughout the day.
The organising committee is yet to officially declare the final amount collected which is currently set at $114,000+ FJD with other donors still pouring in funds towards the Vanua.
